Transforming a dilapidated building into a luxury residence presents technical and regulatory hurdles far beyond a standard renovation. The original structure, a shell of compromised masonry and failing timber, required sensitive yet robust intervention. We successfully navigated the complexities of securing Listed Building status while obtaining consent for an extensive external overhaul, including a total roof replacement and bespoke, heritage-compliant windows. Our engineers designed a bespoke internal support system to stabilise the historic shell, creating a safe foundation for a high-specification, modern family interior.
